Start with the structure sheets, not the flights. Pick two events you actually want to play deep in and treat everything else as optional. Budget the trip as one number: buy-ins, flights, hotel, food, transfers — then ask whether your realistic ROI on those buy-ins covers that number. Most trips fail this test, and the fix is usually fewer, better events rather than a cheaper hotel. Log the whole trip as a single line in your ledger and you will know within three trips which destinations are worth repeating.
